Important Notice: New IT System

Polmont Park Medical Group's IT system will be replaced, as part of a national GP IT reprovisioning programme. Our ‘go-live’ date is now scheduled for Tuesday 28th July. 

We were due to move to the new system earlier in June but NHS Forth Valley paused the rollout after issues were identified with performance of the system. These issues should be resolved by our new date, and the rollout is due to resume at the end of July.

During the transition period we expect disruption to routine services, due to limited or no access to medical records.

More information:

• Appointments. We will be able to offer routine appointments up to and including Wednesday 22nd July. After this date, we will only be able to book future appointments once the new booking system is installed. We will be able to resume booking routine appointments again from Wednesday 29th June, when the new system is live.
• Urgent only service. We will only be able to offer appointments for urgent clinical issues that cannot wait for a routine appointment during the transition period. This will include Thursday 23rd July, Friday 24th July, Monday 27th July, and Tuesday 28th July.
• Prescription Requests. We will be unable to process repeat prescriptions requested between Wednesday 22nd July and Wednesday 29th July. Please order your repeat prescriptions early if they are due during this period. Your local pharmacy will be aware of the IT replacement and able to help you if medication or prescription issues arise during the transition period.
• Test results / requests. The admin team will have limited or no access to clinical records during the transition period. We will not be able to provide you with information or results from your medical record until after Wednesday 29th July.
